At LEAP 2025, a premier global technology conference held in Riyadh, Pakistani IT companies have successfully secured numerous investment and business deals with international firms, marking a significant milestone for the country’s digital sector. According to the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), the event served as a powerful platform for over 100 Pakistani IT companies and 1,000 delegates to showcase their capabilities, engage in strategic networking, and form partnerships with global tech leaders, further expanding their presence in the Saudi and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets.
The Pakistan pavilion, inaugurated by State Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima, demonstrated the country’s commitment to boosting IT exports and attracting foreign investments. P@SHA Senior Vice Chairman, Muhammad Umair Nizam, emphasized the growing interest from international investors and the significant agreements finalized during the conference. He highlighted that Pakistan’s IT exports have doubled in the last fiscal year and are poised to reach new heights in 2025.
The success of these partnerships is attributed to collaborative efforts by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the Ministry of IT and Telecom, the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and P@SHA, creating a conducive environment for Pakistani firms to expand in the GCC region. As a result, Pakistani IT firms’ continued participation in global tech expos like LEAP is set to strengthen the nation’s digital economy, foster innovation, and drive growth in foreign exchange earnings through increased exports and collaborations.
