Ronaldo shares love for Saudi Arabia, plans to stay forever.
Cristiano Ronaldo, one of football’s biggest stars, has shared that he plans to live in Saudi Arabia permanently. Describing the country as peaceful and safe, Ronaldo said he and his family truly feel at home there. In a video shared by Al Nassr, he expressed gratitude for the warm treatment they’ve received and said this deep connection is why they want to build their lives in the kingdom.
The 40-year-old Portuguese forward joined Al Nassr in 2022 after leaving Manchester United and recently extended his contract with the club until 2027. This means he’ll be playing in Saudi Arabia past his 42nd birthday. He mentioned that the reason for renewing his contract is his strong desire to win a major title with Al Nassr, a goal he feels is still unfinished.
Ronaldo has scored 99 goals since joining the club and remains highly motivated to achieve success. He chose not to play in the FIFA Club World Cup in the U.S. to rest and prepare for what he expects to be a tough season. He said he wants to give his best for both Al Nassr and the Portuguese national team, especially with the World Cup ahead.
He also praised the Saudi Pro League, calling it one of the top five leagues in the world, and expressed confidence that the 2034 FIFA World Cup in Saudi Arabia will be the most beautiful ever. Looking ahead, he promised the upcoming season would be Al Nassr’s best yet and invited people to experience Saudi Arabia themselves, highlighting the country’s culture and warm hospitality.
