Canva introduces its own Excel competitor with AI-powered Sheets.
Canva has officially unveiled Canva Sheets, an AI-powered spreadsheet tool, during its annual product showcase in Los Angeles. Designed to streamline data management, Canva Sheets automates key tasks such as data entry, report generation, and data visualization.
The platform also includes features like real-time language translation within spreadsheets and is positioned as a direct competitor to Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
In addition to Canva Sheets, the company introduced several other AI-driven innovations, including Magic Charts for interactive data visualization, Canva AI for content creation via natural language prompts, and Canva Code, which enables users to build websites and applications from written instructions.
Canva also announced impressive growth metrics, reporting an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of US$3 billion and a user base of 230 million monthly active users. The company is preparing for a potential public listing in the United States, pending favorable market conditions.
